Gym equipment symbolising fitness resolutions

Friends and followers,

Today I am sharing something deeply personal, stepping away from my usual cybersecurity focus to discuss a journey that may resonate with you.

For many, the first working day of 2024 (January 2nd) marks the moment when New Year's gym resolutions start to waver. If you have swapped dumbbells for the daily commute or a cosy Netflix session, do not worry. I have an alternative that worked for me: intermittent fasting.

In 2023, I did not become a gym fanatic. Instead, I embraced intermittent fasting and lost 10 kilos without a gruelling diet or missing social gatherings. I enjoyed brunches and evenings with colleagues and friends, no excuses. The toughest part was switching from an 18-6 to a 20-4 fasting pattern, which I found unsustainable and reverted. Always listen to your body and consult your doctor if unsure.

Intermittent fasting is more than a diet; it is a lifestyle. It is well suited to those who love weekend brunches or late-night snacks. The principle is simple: alternate eating and fasting periods without calorie counting or restrictive diets that make you question your choices.

If the gym feels daunting by day two, I get it. Intermittent fasting does not demand intense workouts, unless you are sprinting to brunch. It is a flexible fitness approach that fits your schedule.

So, if the gym is already a distant memory, consider intermittent fasting for a remarkable turnaround. Say goodbye to guilt and embrace a simpler path to health.
